PuttrLab ("we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use the PuttrLab iOS application ("App") and our website at puttrlab.com ("Website").
Information We Collect
Through the App
- Camera access: Video from the camera is recorded to your device's temporary storage for frame-by-frame analysis and stroke replay. Each putt's video is automatically deleted when you move to the next putt or end the session. Videos are never transmitted to our servers or shared with any third party.
- Putting session data: Stroke metrics (face angle, tempo, acceleration, path symmetry, contact point) are calculated and stored locally on your device. Free users retain their three most recent sessions; users who have upgraded to PuttrLab Pro retain their full session history. This data is not transmitted to our servers.
- Coaching tips and drill recommendations (Pro): Coaching content shown to PuttrLab Pro users is generated entirely on your device using rule-based logic applied to your session metrics. No data is sent to external servers to generate these recommendations.
- In-app purchases: The PuttrLab Pro upgrade is a one-time, non-consumable in-app purchase processed by the Apple App Store. We do not receive or store your payment information. Purchase verification is handled by Apple's StoreKit framework on your device.
- Device information: We may collect basic device information (device model, iOS version) for crash reporting and app compatibility purposes.
Through the Website
- Email correspondence: If you contact us by email (puttrlab@gmail.com), we receive your email address and the contents of your message so we can respond to your inquiry.
How We Use Your Information
- To provide and improve the PuttrLab App and its features
- To respond to customer support inquiries
- To diagnose technical issues and improve app stability
Data Storage and Security
All putting session data is stored locally on your device. We do not operate cloud servers that store your putting data. Email correspondence is stored in our email account and accessed only for the purpose of responding to your inquiry.
Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services:
- Apple: App distribution through the App Store and processing of in-app purchases (the PuttrLab Pro upgrade). See Apple's Privacy Policy.
Data Sharing
We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to third parties. We do not share your data with third parties except as required by law.
Children's Privacy
PuttrLab is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such information, please contact us so we can promptly delete it.
Your Rights
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of any personal information we hold about you by contacting us at puttrlab@gmail.com. Since putting session data is stored only on your device, you can delete it at any time by deleting the app or clearing app data.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date. Continued use of the App or Website after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
